MOL's Chairman visited Mauritius
Mr. Junichiro Ikeda, the Chairman of the Board of MOL, visited Mauritius from September 4 through September 7, 2024. Mr. Ikeda has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Mauritius in Tokyo in August 2023 (Note 1).
Mr. Ikeda also inspected the meteorological radar system developed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Masahiro Kan, the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Mauritius and attended a local NGO event subsidized by the MOL Mauritius International Fund for Natural Environment Recovery and Sustainability (the "Fund (Note 2)). (Note 3)
During the same period, a networking event was held by the MOL Charitable Trust (the "Trust") (Note 4) for local NGOs and educational institutions, and at the beginning of the event, Mr. Ikeda announced the opening of the Fund's fourth call for proposals.
MOL will continue to support the development of Mauritius and its people while fostering friendly relations with the country.
